Givenchy creates for Rihanna's Tour

Givenchy creates for Rihanna's Tour

Custom-made just for RhiRhi:

Roc Nations Rihanna has kicked off her world tour, this month... And let's just say she has kicked it off in absolute style. Riccardo Tisci has created bespoke Givenchy couture outfits exclusively for Rihnna's Diamonds tour. The outfits are worn at the beginning of her concert production, it consists of a dark and romantic feel, with a floor-length ruffle silk-crepe cape and black nappa thigh high boots, which Rihanna is known to be a fan of. Other pieces include an embroidered parka in stand-out Givenchy style printing, a white leather bra and silk satin shorts.

The collaboration between musical artists and fashion brands, is forever growing stronger. It has become a trend of its own, for elite designers to design exclusive custom-made attire for music artists. Performers like Rita Ora, Jay Z, Lady Gaga and Beyonce, have all been lucky enough to have designer costumes for the concert performances, made by the finest in fashion.

With the tour already in full swing, this saw Rihanna debuting the looks first time on stage. The inspiration behind the costumes was definitely taken from Givenchy's menswear a/w '13 collection, with its elements of 'strong sensual iconography'. Givenchy the brand and Rihanna are big fans of heavy sportswear and street-wear style, this mutual obsession worked perfectly for Tisci to understand the aura of Rihanna.

"Rihanna represents what young and amazing means today. She is punk and talented. She offers intelligence, energy and pure beauty." Tisci

This is not the first time that Riccardo Tisci has costom-made something for Rihanna. At the end of last month following the Barbadian born singers birthday, Tisci designed and sent a custom made t-shirt graphic t-shirt that featured Rihanna's face on it. Givenchy is well-know for popularizing the t-shirt trend, with amazing graphic patterns, prints and images. Tisci truly has a soft spot for the Rude Boy singer. (T-shirt below)

Rihanna is at the peak of her career, with her recently new album, her fashion collaboration with River Island and now the start of a new tour... she is most definitely taking over the world.

"Rihanna has what every girl inspires to have," added Tisci. "She is the face of her generation."-

Beyonce- March Vogue USA Cover

Vogue USA 's March Issue Cover Girl:
Beyonce Knowles

Definition of Power: 'The ability to do something or act in a particular way, esp. as a faculty or quality.'

Vogue USA has casted Beyonce as their cover girl for March 'Power' issue, who else extracts strength and control than the diva herself. The month have February has really been Beyonce's month, after her questionable live performance for the US Presidential Inauguration, her fierce half-time Super Bowl come back presentation, the spectacular news of her new 'Mrs Carter' tour and last nights Grammy's win. The year has not even got started and Beyonce is all we can talk about.

After taking a break away from her famous lifestyle, its only expected that this is the response she has received from the world. In this months Vogue USA she tells the world more about the birth of her baby daughter Blue Ivy and future plans for work and personal. The wife of Hip Hop mogul Jay Z, she explains in her interview how she wants to give her daughter a normal upbringing, 'It’s very important to me that my daughter is able to experience life and run through the sprinklers'.

The shoot shows Beyonce in a softer, relaxed way embracing her iconic curves in leather, silky lingerie and body-con dresses. Shot by Patrick Demarchelier, he brings out the classic natural beauty that Beyonce effortlessly embodies. From the very beginning before viewing the shoot, I knew that it would hold memorable images that the world could always treasure of Beyonce.

In the shoot in many shots there is an essencce of spanish sultry that shines through, as Beyonce is dressed in rich tones of red with large floral detailing. This is her second cover shoot with Vogue magazine, and probably the first of many magazines that would want a slice of Beyonce this year.

Beyonce is set to surprise the world once again on Febrauary 16th with her documentary 'Life is but a dream' debuting on HBO. This documentary is set to show you the true story behind Beyonce, that has not yet been told. A unique experience that allows you into the personal space of Beyonce's world, with much of the recoding captured by the lady herself. In the Vogue interview Beyonce states thats she has found the filmmaking process therapeutic, saying that 'This movie has healed me in so many ways'.

Beyonce Knowles is a woman of the music industry that has found and created her place of success. Its hard to fault someone that is in the world of fame, yet still wants to lead a normal life, that tries to stay away from media hypes and rather be grounded as normal human being. She loves what she does...and speaking on behalf of a whole lot of fans...we love what you do!-

(Vogue Shoot: 2012)

Emilio Pucci designs for Rita Ora's
Radioactive tour

The newest British artists to storm the music world, with her honey suckle tone of voice, her stand-out golden blonde hair and her unmissable luscious red lips, singer song-writer Rita Ora. After being discovered by hip-hop rapper Jay Z, in 2009 he signed the London based singer to his music label Roc Nation. Her debut album Ora in 2012, exploded on the UK charts at number 1, with her success spreading fast and effectively it was only a matter of time till the fashion world also got involved.

Known for her unique style and great passion for fashion, Rita has always said that growing up she has experimented and paid attention to what and how she wears her clothes. When it comes to music, fashion is always immediately as significant to the artist and the industry. Fashion helps in enhancing the artists individuality, creating a style which would help in reflecting their music style, personality and expression. From day 1 Rita Ora has captured her style and image in the way that she wants to be represented, keeping true to her roots of street style and adding a hint of glamour.
To kick start her 1st tour "Radioactive", the 22 year olds costumes have been designed by Italy's Emilio Pucci. Emilio Pucci is known for its geometric prints and amazing drape, style creative director Peter Dundas has worked closely with Rita Ora in order to create a series of outfits that "perfectly echo her unique take on urban glamour".
Rita Ora's tour 1st show took place last night in Manchester, where she wore her custom made Emilio Pucci costumes. Rita is known for her energetic performances, the clothing was creating to ensure the artist is able to move freely throughout the evening. The idea of movement is always key for many performers, with this in mind Peter Dundas re-interoperated many of the key themes of Emilio Pucci's S/S 2013 collection.
Rita Ora's Radioactive tour costumes included metallic armour-inspired bodice, a military camouflage jumpsuit and a flowing golden cape. Her costumes definitely represent the powerful woman and artists that she is, after phenomenal success in just under a year. With Rita Ora being fashion conscious and aware its only natural to see her superstardom to also effect the fashion industries most powerful.

Peter Dundas has said "I was thrilled to design the costumes for Rita's Radioactive Tour, from the moment I met Rita we've had a great connection and doing something like this together felt like a natural progression. The costumes have impact and flamboyance in a way that feels personal to Rita whilst staying true to the Emilio Pucci aesthetic."-
