Emilio Pucci designs for Rita Ora's
Radioactive tour

The newest British artists to storm the music world, with her honey suckle tone of voice, her stand-out golden blonde hair and her unmissable luscious red lips, singer song-writer Rita Ora. After being discovered by hip-hop rapper Jay Z, in 2009 he signed the London based singer to his music label Roc Nation. Her debut album Ora in 2012, exploded on the UK charts at number 1, with her success spreading fast and effectively it was only a matter of time till the fashion world also got involved.

Known for her unique style and great passion for fashion, Rita has always said that growing up she has experimented and paid attention to what and how she wears her clothes. When it comes to music, fashion is always immediately as significant to the artist and the industry. Fashion helps in enhancing the artists individuality, creating a style which would help in reflecting their music style, personality and expression. From day 1 Rita Ora has captured her style and image in the way that she wants to be represented, keeping true to her roots of street style and adding a hint of glamour.
To kick start her 1st tour "Radioactive", the 22 year olds costumes have been designed by Italy's Emilio Pucci. Emilio Pucci is known for its geometric prints and amazing drape, style creative director Peter Dundas has worked closely with Rita Ora in order to create a series of outfits that "perfectly echo her unique take on urban glamour".
Rita Ora's tour 1st show took place last night in Manchester, where she wore her custom made Emilio Pucci costumes. Rita is known for her energetic performances, the clothing was creating to ensure the artist is able to move freely throughout the evening. The idea of movement is always key for many performers, with this in mind Peter Dundas re-interoperated many of the key themes of Emilio Pucci's S/S 2013 collection.
Rita Ora's Radioactive tour costumes included metallic armour-inspired bodice, a military camouflage jumpsuit and a flowing golden cape. Her costumes definitely represent the powerful woman and artists that she is, after phenomenal success in just under a year. With Rita Ora being fashion conscious and aware its only natural to see her superstardom to also effect the fashion industries most powerful.

Peter Dundas has said "I was thrilled to design the costumes for Rita's Radioactive Tour, from the moment I met Rita we've had a great connection and doing something like this together felt like a natural progression. The costumes have impact and flamboyance in a way that feels personal to Rita whilst staying true to the Emilio Pucci aesthetic."-
